TYLER UPDATES

Tyler has drawn a lot of hearts to his story and continual interest in his rehabilitation. Those people interested in adopting him have been receiving regular email updates. Others of you have shared heartfelt stories of your loved ones' experiences and want to follow Ty’s recovery.  Here is his story to get you up to date. Thanks so much for your support of all kinds!

Blessings! Good news! It seems he has a dislocation, nothing is broken or congenital. He goes to a specialist to see the next step. So by Monday I’ll let you all know the outcome. We appreciate your time & patience while we gather this information to establish his health and his best match.

Blessings everyone Central Bark Doggy Day Care is having a two day Sponsor Tylerathon. We are going to raise the $1600 needed for Ty’s medical & surgery. Tyler & Tisha will be present Thursday 04/13 and Friday 04/14 from 4:30- 6:30pm.

Sorry for the short notice but Julian of Central Bark & GALPR was so gracious to whip up the idea and put it together for Ty. We’ll see you then!

WAHOO!!!!

Blessings Tyler & Tisha people, we have some answers. We just received the prognosis on his surgery. Tyler’s situation is a catch 22. It’s easier to do surgery on him when he is bigger but if we wait two months the dislocation could get worse. The bones are growing to compensate for the injury as it is now, so the vet suggests surgery soon. The vet will place a pin in the joint and leave it there for 10-14 days. Now, the vet can’t make any promises on the outcome of Ty’s post-surgery mobility, but it's worth a try. We are waiting for an appointment date and of course raising funds in the meantime.

So we haven’t taken any applications for Tyler in order for you all to have a better understanding as to what you would be committing to. We have been postponing Tisha’s application process so they can have time together till Ty’s surgery. A few of you have suggested interest in adopting both, and we and T&T would like that very much, but as always we are looking for the best match for their care so attached is our application, and we look forward to hearing from you.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR PATIANCE & SUPPORT!

Thanks for the emails and concern for Ty! His surgery is this Friday and will be able to come home (foster) Saturday. We are hopeful this will help his mobility regardless of the odds. I will keep you posted.

THANK YOU! BLESS YOU! THANK YOU!

AGAIN!

Central Bark Staff & Clients for your phenomenal Dedication to Tyler and the rescue cause!!!

Chris, Julian, Courtney, Michelle and the CB gang we can not thank you all enough!

The Main Street Gym staff operate their own non-profit rescue www.lulusfriends.com on their volunteer time, and have been generous enough to share our adoptables with their clients! Their concern for Tyler has been another gift on top of the wonderful forever homes they have generated for GALPR’s homeless babies!
Marvin & crew we are so grateful to you!

Out of the blue Java Boy’s calls and wanted to help Tyler!
JAVA TO THE RESCUE!
We totally appreciate your rescue efforts!

Blessings, here’s our baby boy! He is walking and as you can tell eating! The shoulder was set and the forearm was broken in order to have it heal properly and not curved. So in two weeks he will be checked again and decide the next step, remove the pin...

WAHOO on the road to recovery thanks to Central Bark Doggy Day Care, Java Boys, Main Street gym and your donations! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Ty: First pic is when he got the cast off from the first surgery. The second pic is post the pin removal surgery

Here is Ty in his famous sit-up pose!  The two are up to their old antics and Ty has the upper hand! LOL! You can see now that his leg is straight (not curved down), allowing him to have better balance & mobility. Thanks to Dr. John at Hollywood Animal Hospital Tyler is getting around!

UPDATE: Tisha & Tyler were adopted and the pair ended up being too much to handle. Tisha has behavioral issues along with her puppy stuff and Tyler needs to swim in a pool a few laps a day for the next year while he’s still developing as part of his rehabilitation. Tisha will out grow her behaviors and Tyler will always have his fixed leg so Tyler is looking for a home.

Tyler HOME!

WAHOO!

Well we are way excited that Ty’s story has a belssful ending! Ty’s Mama saw us on South Fl. Today Show NBC6, the second airing, on the day of our MUST LOVE DOGS event! Their little Chi girl is way out going and social so Ty will stay open and loving too. They played together and Ty is finally home<3~ MANY thanks to Alice Fisher for helping us get on the show and to the ladies on Sunday at NBC6 that spoke of us again! Who would have ever thought it would be so hard to fiend a match for a pure breed Chi puppy with a fused leg? Tons of inquiries and no match till now!
