Tiger is a 5 month old brindle and white male Chihuahua Puppy who was rescued from a high kill shelter along with his brother Reef. He is very young to be without his Mommy so he needs constant care now while he is young. He is not potty trained yet, but the foster Mom is working on that. The foster home is also working on social skills with him. Once he or his brother are ready to go to their new homes they will be fantastic dogs. Naomi's owner passed away and the family dumped her with her Min-Pin companion, Marissa, at a kill shelter! They can be adopted separately since they are different personalities and not really interested in each other! Naomi cuddles and kisses! She is bit chunky! LOL! Once she get on better food and have some activity she will slim down. Naomi is 10 pounds and 4 years old kinda shy but friendly. Flicker (red), 4 years & the daughter of Tootie 5.5 years. They are totally in love with each other, so much so their breeder did not get rid of Flicker even though she would not produce puppies! The two play, cuddle and groom each other! Now the breeders are done with both girls and they need a devoted home to treat them like family not live stock! They must be adopted together. Their home breeder has them paper trained but they are quickly learning to go outside at their foster home. They are not used to a leash so they need time to adjust to new things and people. Flicker is quicker to trust with treats, can you tell? LOL! She also likes to give you kisses as you rub her belly. Tootie is a love once you cuddle her. She is quick to roll over for belly rubs and slip you kisses! These girls are a pair full of Chi Love! They both have lost weight since these photos and they are 6 & 8lbs! Tyrian the toy~aholic boy was found as a stray and ended up at a kill shelter. He is independent, keeping himself happy with his toys. He would benefit from being walked to satisfy his curiousness of smelling everything! He is a hound dog and ready for action, if nothings going on he will create his own pawty by collecting his toys you hid earlier! Ha! He is a riot with the squeaky toys! The two vets that have examined him feel Tyrian is between 3-5 years old. His teeth and activity level matches up with that as well, but we are not sure. He is 14 pounds and ready for his adult home. We say no children with him since he is sometimes possessive of his toys. When he comes to you he wants to interact and play tug or fetch and when he has collection of squeakers in his bed, that's his zone. We are working with him on that without taking the toys away since he gets so much joy from them! It's a process he will understand the toys are not always out they are a treat! Burt came to us from a shelter and just like all the rest we could not understand why this sweet boy was homeless. As Burt became more comfortable in his foster home he started to show possession of his bed towards the other dogs. We adopted him as an only dog and his life was wonderfully pampered and he showed mutual love. This went on for about several months till he got a skin rash and the adopters vet put him on Prednisone, a steroid, that is known to make people angry and it made Burt aggressive to his adopters only if they wanted to sit on the couch where he was. They tried to work with him but he was still on the Pred so he did not get better. Since he has been back in our care he has gone through detoxification, holistic and conventional vetting as well as formal obedience training. He is good now with the other foster dogs supervised, and his foster mom but we still would not put him with children. Burt needs a consistent, calm adult home with people willing to imply our knowledge and training techniques to help him adjust in his forever home. Hi is an 9-10 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix about nine pounds thick, LOL! He is muscular. <<Danica ChiPinnie is named after a supermodel because or her gorgeous eyes and long legs! LOL! She is a all round lover girl with just enough playfulness to remind you she is a puppy balanced with that cuddle baby personality. Danica is about a year old and only 8 pounds. She is tall with a lean frame. We think she is a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix, we are not sure since she was a stray. My name is Dunkin and I have a TAIL to tell you. I was found wondering the streets in Texas. I was all alone, hungry and very scared. I was taken to a high kill shelter where I was scheduled to be put down a few days later. How I prayed for someone to find me before it was too late. Thankfully a volunteer posted my photo on Facebook. Before you know it I got transported to South Florida through Pilots & Paws and taken to Get A Life Pet Rescue.

<<Hunny is a 1 yr old tan (honey) female Chihuahua who was surrendered by her owners because they didnt have time for her. She is very loving and wants to be in your company whenever you are around. She loves to play with toys and likes to sleep under the covers next to you all night long. She is doing well on her potty-training and as long as you keep her on a schedule she will be fine. She walks on a leash or rides in a stroller. She can be shy of strangers at first but if they are patient and dont rush her she is very polite and friendly. Khaji is a yummy ball of sweetness! He was surrendered by his people to a high kill shelter that gave him only 24 hours to live! They neglected his care so he is a bit chunky and we will give him a dental cleaning before adoption, we just need the antibiotics to work on the oral infection to get a clear blood work first. We are currently paying to have in quarantine boarding since he has Kennel Cough which is being treated and he will be over in two weeks. He also is on medication doe his heart that only costs $4 for a two month supply at Walmart! He is super friendly and will wiggle his nubby tail at everyone he meets! Leola, Lovie, Beauty Queen, is a 9 pound, 2 year old Miniature Pinscher Dachshund Mix that will stick to you like glue. LOL! She may take a little while to trust you but she comes around and then she leans into you for a hug. Since she is leery of new people she is looking for an adult home that is patient enough to help her build up her to confidence with people. She doesn’t bite but will bark if someone approaches her and shortly quiets down as she realizes they are safe. Leola is full of herself and likes to be told how wonderful she is. <<Davey (11lbs) and his brother Mickey (13lbs) are shy but warm up quickly when you give them wet food and put them in your bed! They know that’s special and they will give you kisses for it! They were previously wee-wee pad trained, and they are now potty trained to go outside. Their human mom passed away and we can tell they were a little neglected by their nails and such but healthy fur-babies nun the less. Davey is a 2year old black & Tan Chihuahua that wants to be where all the action is! He enjoys your attention and he will give kisses, but he does get uncertain while you are approaching him if he does not know & trust you. He appreciates slow gently moves and blankets! Yes! He like to fluff up the blankets and sleep on them rather than underneath. LOL! We are looking for adult homes for these Chihuahuas since they are timid. Chiquitita is enjoying life out of a cage! She was a breeder dog that fortunately did get some socialization. She is shy but not fearful. She LOVED the human bed and rubs her face on the sheets while pushing herself around with her tushie in the air! She is a lap girl and will cuddle with other small dogs. <<A couple bought Thumper and her daughter from a local breeder that supplies puppy stores. Thumper is super timid and even though they couple had her a month they had a hard time gaining her trust! Thumper is only a year old & a half old and wants your affection, she just needs time to bond with you. She needs a calm adult home willing to help her overcome her fears from her abusive breeder. She is only 6.5 pounds with a shiny black and golden brown under coat, called seal coat. She is potty trained to use pee pads or go outside. Tawny is a 2 yr old female Chihuahua who arrived at a high kill shelter in labor with still born babies. She was neglected and starved in her delicate condition.
