Sassy & Tobe were used as breeding dogs. They are 2 ½ year old Chihuahuas that must be adopted together. They are wee-wee pad trained and are really friendly. Sassy is 8 pounds now but is loosing her last litter weight and will be back to six pounds in time. She is really kissy and asks to be held. Tobe is a bit shy and becomes fearful if someone new approaches. He is five pounds and follows Sassy everywhere. If she is being held Tobe will cry for her. They are very affectionate with each other and Tobe needs Sassy for security. Their adoption donation for the pair is $550 to go towards their vetting below. Lizzy was found and posted in the neighborhood but she has not been claimed so we have fully vetted her and are looking for her new eternal home. She is a way shy, but loving Rat Terrier 8 month old puppy She would be good with teenage children but not little ones since she is insecure. She loves other small dogs and toys! <<Haugen Dawggy was found in Miami And no one claimed him. He is about 10 years old in good health and 11pounds. He is sweet and LOVES to walk he has energy and gets along well with everyone. The woman who found him was eating ice-cream and he started dancing and talking for his share so she named him Haugen Dawggy! What ever he wants he will let you know and where ever you go he will be right there with you! Haugen Dawggy and Boomerang (also with Get A Life Pet Rescue) are regular sized Chihuahuas and the breed is known to have long lives, 18-20 years and people have said as old as 24 years.His adoption donation is $150 to go towards his vetting shown below.

Yasou was a puppy mill dog that is healthy. The Humane Society saved him and a couple adopted him. With them, he seamed to be afraid of the man and would hide. He never bit but since they did not want Yasou to be unhappy they turned him over to their vets office. There he was fostered by another couple that felt he was just shy with that husband and would come over for attention. In our care he seams to be fine with men so it could just be the man he was originally with. He instantly kisses women and stands on his hind legs waiving his front paws for you to pick him up! He likes to play with other small dogs and enjoys overseeing the household from a high place, like the top of the couch! His name is Japanese for “peaceful” and that‘s what he is when a in loving environment. He is only 3 and barley ten pounds. Yasou is a Maltipoo (Maltese/Poodle) so he is hypoallergenic. <<Zeena & Princess were given up together and are inseparable, though the owner felt differently; we are now adopting them as a pair. They are always following each other around and sleeping with each other. Princess looks to Zeena for comfort and does what ever Zeena does. Princess huggy girl is a 1 ½ year old, 15 pound Fox terrier with an warm personality. She way friendly and likes to play with other small dogs. She was fed human food and is about five pounds over weight. With some exercise and proper dog food she will be at a good size for her little frame. Princess likes to be where you are and will ask you to pick her up then thank you with kisses! She’s a good girl for children. Zeena is a total lover girl who plays with the other dogs and knows when to settle down and curl up by you! She gives kisses and would be fab with children. Zeena was fed human food only, and plenty of it, in her previous home, thus she is about 15 pounds over weight. She is a 2 year old, Miniature Pinscher, dynamic and healthy so she just needs some exercise and dog food. Their adoption donation for the pair is $500 to go towards their vetting shown below.

Buddy was picked up by Animal Control and adopted to a couple that was having a hard time controlling the fleas and tics in their neighborhood, even with preventative. So they opted not to continue to over toxify his body with way too much preventive and turned him over to us. Buddy is a Bichon/Poodle mix way loving ONCE HE KNOWS YOU. Give him time to trust and he’s as sweet as pie. He is leery of being picked up by strangers so he would not be good with small children. He is about 1 ½ years old and 7 pounds. Please do not respond to this cute little guy unless you are willing to give him time. He was an instant joy with his foster Mom and the other foster dogs but we must advise as the previous owner has shared with us. Buddy is super playful and totally hypoallergenic. He loves toys and squeaks them for you! He plays hard and can keep himself occupied with a toy if his play mates are taking a break. His two pals are Yasou and Kobe. 	<<Devin II was found with a prior leg injury that had healed with out proper treatment. It looks like he may have been hit by a car since he has a scar on his opposite shoulder. He has injured that leg again but there is not a fracture so he just needs time. He can walk with no problem and he wants to jump on and off the couch which he shouldn’t do but he wants to be near you. Devin is possibly a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound. Mix. He defiantly has the long legs and lean body of an Italian Greyhound. He is vary secure and will instantly let you rub his belly. He’s approximately 3 years old and eight pounds. Available Again to someone who understands Chihuahua personality Tahir -AKA Chaco Rocco = Chocolate Rock of Love! became jealous of new dogs in the house and started some behavioral issues, so his family gave him up. Those concerns have now subsided since his neuter and new environment. He loves his foster mates especially other Chihuahuas. Tahir is a two year old chocolate and white Chihuahua about 8 pounds with a tiny frame. He likes to be under the blankets of YOUR bed.He is 99% fabulous and the 1% is when he gets something in his mouth you can't take it away from him. 	<<Schmoozer is now a happy boy who loves toys and human affection but not at the same time. He’s protective of his toys only when he is playing with them. If he brings you a toy then you are in for a fetch match! He is full of life and energy since he was previously kept in a play pen for most of his 11 years. So he is now enjoying his social life at his foster home with free run of the house! Schmoozer likes to rub his fourteen pound Dachshund body against your legs and feet like a cat. Picasso the cuddle boy has been tossed away because his mom’s boyfriend gave her a tiny Chihuahua that she takes everywhere! The Chihuahua does not like Picasso so his former mother felt it was “unfair” for Picasso to have to put up with it! Well Picasso is a wonderful two year old Yorkie/Maltese mix that has just enough playfulness and energy balanced with a warm personality. He is almost 13 pounds, thirteen inches tall & fifteen inches long. We mention this because in the past, volunteers have gotten to the home visit to hear that the dog is bigger than the person thought! I know it sounds silly but it does matter to some people. 	<<DUTCHESS the demure Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix that has opened up to trust people even when meeting for the first time! She is about 4 years old and a tiny bit chunky at 15 pounds. Dutchess likes all toys, she is the squeaky toy queen fanatic! She keeps herself happy as she squeaks and tosses her toys. She can be found doing her sleeping & balancing act on the top of the back of the couch! She gets along with the other dogs but is pretty independent with her toys. She will bring a toy into bed with her foster mom and squeak it till she falls asleep like a baby. Dutchie is vary affectionate and will give a LOVING growl while kissing you. Yes this is her way to “Purr” so to speak. She has never bit, not even in her previous home. Tara and Daphne were found in their human mothers home after their mom had passed away. The woman rescued the girls during Hurricane Katrina and neighbors said she was so proud of the pair! Unfortunately they are looking for homes again and we are willing to separate them as they both are not clinging to each other. Tara is about 8 years old and 15 pounds. She’s a loving Carin Terrier mix with a cuddly personality. She lowers her head and front legs as to bow in excitement. WAY CUTE! She will be getting a dental cleaning and is otherwise healthy. 	<<Presenting adorable BURT! BURT was tossed from home to home and then kenneled, and now we are working with his personality to place him in his loving, everlasting home! This precious little guy is as sweet as a banana split with all the toppings, although he has challenges of being possessive of “his things.” It's surely because he's always felt the need to keep those things close, since he never knew when he'd be sent away again. This possessive behavior is also common with Chihuahuas. Burt is learning to correct it, and he's a good student! Burt is an eager learner....I've been successful in simply saying "get off" when he gets on the couch, and he gets right off of it. Once this baby is in a home with a loving, forever family and he knows your rules, he'll be so happy! He so wants and deserves to be adored! Burt gets along with other dogs, but when he gets into his bed, other dogs need to stay away. We're working with a trainer (Edel Miedes) right now, and he has gotten Burt to this adoptable state. This baby has been through so much in his short life! Burt only weighs 9 pounds. He's small, but he's thick and muscular. He is about 6-7 years old, and he's VERY playful! His adoption comes with our trainer to show you how to assimilate Burt into your home and family. Won't you please give this special little boy a chance to know love and happiness?
Joey is a fun loving happy boy who shared a lot of joyful memories with his family for eight years. They say he is wonderful and that he never met anyone he did not like! Joey was woken up out of a sleep by a toddler, with the toddlers arms around Joey’s neck, and he reacted with a bite. Now Joey is homeless. The family took good care of him medically and he has a well rounded personality, SERIOUSLY! We have had him meet new people & dogs of all ages and he is affectionate! He was just startled and reacted. Its not a normal thing for him as his previous owners said. He is a Shih Tzu about 18 pounds and is a fabulous hugger. He sits on his foster moms lap upright with is head on her chest and his paws on her shoulders while she is on the computer! He is eager to please and so cheerful to be around. SEE KOBE'S VIDEO	<<Kobe- A woman found Kobe in a warehouse district at night as she was driving home. The next day she had him scanned for a microchip and he did not have one so she went door to door in the neighborhoods near by. She eventually found his owner and she said"I put him out, why did you bring him back!" When we took Kobe to our vet we learned that Kobe has an injury to the left eye and has been given medication for it. Right now the vet does not think he has any vision out of that eye and has partial vision in the right eye. Judging by his teeth he only seams to be 5-6 years old. His blood work came back healthy and will had a dental cleaning along with his regular vetting. Kobe Loves to play and has found a buddy with Lennox (miniature Poodle). They play hard and are always sleeping with each other. Kobe is only 10 pounds and a real lover boy. He is friendly and goes up to strangers with a wagging tail. He gets around the houst fine and enjoys the yard for potty time. He just needs a real home to love him. We purposely did not list him as special needs so you would read his story and understand how wonderful he is. We have video available of him playing with Lennox under his photos.
